GARMENT FOLDING CHALLENGE
Inditex’s online sales have increased significantly over the last 10 years. This growth has situated the online order preparation process at the center of our customer experience, and the folding of garments is one of the key elements. This process is carried out with care and high quality standards. Our object is to implement automated solutions to make it more efficient and at the same time, maintain an excellent packing quality and presentation of products.
Why Should You Participate in the Challenge?
PILOT WITH A BUDGET OF UP TO €500,000
The challenge has a total budget of up to €500,000, aimed at funding multiple proof-of-concept projects (POCs) throughout 2026.
The selected proposals will receive a portion of this budget based on their fit, maturity and results, in order to develop and validate a solution in a real environment, within a cutting-edge distribution center that is fully operational.

CHALLENGE
WHAT DO WE WANT TO SOLVE?
This challenge requires the development of innovative, agile and scalable solutions that automate the process of folding of a wide variety of garments, maintaining at the same time, an excellent packing quality and presentation of products.
PLANNING
The folding garment challenge will be open during the whole of year 2026
We will validate the proposals received progressively as they are presented.
There will be at least two decision taking milestones for POC awarding, the first will be mid year, and the other at the end of year 2026. Nevertheless we may decide to progress with a proposal to POC stage earlier than these milestones.
